The University of Texas of the Permian Basin is pleased to welcome you to the inaugural Permian Basin Water In Energy Conference (PBWIEC.com).
The PBWIEC is an educational conference, founded in conjunction with UTPB, with an emphasis on highlighting innovation and facilitating commercial-free discussions related to water in energy in the Permian Basin.
Speakers for this conference include industry leaders working in both Texas and New Mexico, representatives from groundwater districts and the state legislature, and other public entities such as the Texas Railroad Commission and University Lands. Topics covered range from industry case-studies and cutting-edge technology to continuing education opportunities for engineers. As a university co-sponsor, we are particularly proud to be encouraging the next generation of energy leaders by featuring student poster sessions as part of our three-day program.
This exciting new Water In Energy Conference is being held in the heart of The Permian Basin in both Odessa and Midland, February 20 – 23, 2018.
The PBWIEC begins with an Opening Reception at the Petroleum Museum on the evening of February 20th, and we expect this and the conference as a whole to provide an opportunity for all of us to showcase some of the best parts of UTPB and The Permian Basin.
On behalf of UTPB and the PBWIEC Board, I invite you to join us in exploring this critical and timely topic.
